Community Opera

Celebrating the centenary of Norman Lindsay’s The Magic Pudding, Victorian Opera brings its much-loved adaptation back to the Melbourne stage, before hitting the road across regional Victoria, with a cast of brilliant emerging talent and local community choruses.

Accessible Performances

Accessibility is a big part of Victorian Opera's commitment to inspiring the community. In 2018, Victorian Opera will provide Tactile Tours and Audio Described performances The Magic Pudding - The Opera, Hansel and Gretel, William Tell, and Pelleas and Melisande.

The annual Relaxed Performance is designed for children with various access requirements. In 2018, Hansel and Gretel on 12 June will be a Relaxed Performance. See the Accessibility page for more details on Tactile Tours, Audio Described and Relaxed Performances.

Taking opera around the state is integral to the company's commitment to creating opera for all Victorians. In 2018, we bring The Magic Pudding - The Opera to Wodonga and Bendigo.
