Open a new experience to young minds

In Term 2 2024 we proudly presented the Wadawurrung creation story, Parrwang Lifts the Sky by Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO. Register your school to take part in Access All Areas and see this important work by clicking on the link below. This program is now available to all Victorian Primary Schools.

Every year, Victorian Opera delivers an education focused performance for its Access All Areas program. It offers a chance for primary school students to not just watch a performance, but to understand how it was made, who made it, and even ask questions.

Four interactive workshops livestreamed direct to classrooms across Victoria, allows students to:

• Explore the story,
• Learn about the process of designing and creating the world of the production through costumes, sets and lighting,
• Meet and hear the opera singers starring in the production,
• Discover how the director shapes the action on stage, and
• Observe an orchestral rehearsal.

The four-week program concludes with an on-demand performance of Parrwang Lifts the Sky available until Friday 13 December 2024.
