Access All Areas

Take your students on a journey into the world of opera without leaving the classroom. Schools across all corners of the state can experience workshops, backstage footage and performances livestreamed direct to the classroom.

Access All Areas returns in 2020 with Victorian Opera's production of Cinderella. The program will run in Term 2 (20 May to 15 June 2020) and is suitable for Foundation to Year 6 students. It is supported by downloadable Education Resources and aligns with Australian Curriculum General Capabilities and Learning Areas in:

  • The Arts – Music, Drama and Visual Arts
  • Languages – French, Italian and German

Work Experience

Complete your work experience with Victorian Opera and get hands-on experience with the elements behind opera production.

We welcome students who have a genuine curiosity about any aspect of the performing arts industry, in particular opera and musical theatre. Students who are accepted for work experience will be exposed to the different departments that make up Victorian Opera, not just performance elements.

Applications for work experience in 2019 are now closed. If you have any questions, please contact our Education Officer Ioanna Salmanidis on (03) 9012 6659 or
