Victorian Opera greatly values the generosity of our chorus of Patrons and each year we welcome new Patrons into the fold and our ever-expanding Patrons’ Engagement Program.

Patrons are pivotal to our continuing growth as a company and our long term viability as the State opera company of Victoria and member of the National Performing Arts Partnership Framework.

By making an annual contribution at a membership level of their choosing, new Patrons are welcomed into our patronage network, and inner circle of likeminded supporters and given the opportunity to get involved through our Patrons’ Engagement Program.

Patrons experience special activities and events with 2025 sure to be another exciting offering. We are increasing these occasions and providing greater access to a variety of bespoke and customised opportunities.

These will include:

2025 Opera Prize Winners Recitals – we will welcome two new recipients of the
Dr Michael Stubbs & Malcolm Roberts prize and the Mary Davidson and Family prize with each winner performing in an exclusive recital at Horti Hall;

2025 Rehearsal Series – an exclusive sneak peek into the rehearsal process providing Patrons the opportunity to witness the making of a production at Horti Hall, Victorian Opera’s home. This series will give exclusive behind-the-scenes access revealing how a production evolves   from rehearsals to opening night. This new series is a wonderful and rewarding way to see our creative artists and technicians at work and experience firsthand how Patron’s support is invested in the work we do;

Education and Youth Programs – get to know how our Education and VO Emerges Program plays a vital role in the career development of new artists and creatives and see their progress;

Patrons Night – Patrons holding tickets to our productions may attend a special Patrons function prior or post a performance with the opportunity to enjoy meeting other patrons and hear from our Artistic Director and other representatives of the creative team speak;

By joining our Patron family with an annual gift of $500 and above, you will be making a significant contribution towards to development of the next generation of artists and creatives and ensuring this art from that we all love continues to thrive.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. We recognise the support of Bronze Patrons and above in all of our performance programmes.  Membership in the Patron Program is for 12 months from the date of donation.
