The Round is the Whitehorse municipality’s arts and cultural centre and is owned and run by Whitehorse City Council.

The Round Program presents a professional theatre and music season, showcasing the best professional theatre from around the country. This diverse series includes plays, musicals, opera, ballet, shows for children, works by renowned Australian playwrights as well as new productions by emerging writers and performing arts companies.

The Round is an integral part of the City of Whitehorse’s creative community and a popular venue for many of the City of Whitehorse’s performing arts groups.

The Round is well-connected by public transport, offering convenient options for patrons travelling to a show.

All areas within The Round, including the adjacent car parks, are fully wheelchair accessible, allowing seamless mobility throughout the premises.


Access Services and Amenities

  • Assistive Hearing System: The Round is equipped with an Assistive Hearing system that enhances audio clarity for patrons with hearing impairments.
  • Assistance Animals: Assistance animals are warmly welcomed in all areas of The Round. Upon request, water bowls can be provided to ensure their comfort.
  • Accessible Toilets: Conveniently located accessible toilets are available in each section of the building.
  • All-gender Toilets: Conveniently located all-gender toilets are available in each section of the building.
  • Changing Places Facility: For individuals requiring additional support, a fully equipped Changing Places facility can be found on the ground floor of The Round.
  • Companion Card Bookings: Companion Card bookings are gladly accepted for all ticketed events. This valuable card enables the cardholder to bring a companion along at no additional cost. Please note that Companion Cards do not cover expenses related to other experiences.

  1. Follow our suggested parking route: below you will find maps of our various car parks and the suggested flow through them when trying to find a park at various times of the day or night.
  2. Abide relevant signage: whilst most parking spaces at The Round are free and accessible 24/7, some spaces within the precinct do follow specific hours and restrictions. Please ensure you follow relevant road signs. Fines may apply.
  3. Arrive Early: To secure the best parking spaces, we suggest arriving well in advance of the performance start time. This allows you to relax, enjoy our luxurious foyer and The Round Bar before the show begins.
  4. Carpooling: Consider carpooling with friends or family also attending. To make parking more convenient and environmentally friendly. Carpooling is a great way to share the experience and reduce traffic congestion.
  5. Plan Ahead: Check traffic routes and ensure there are no disruptions to your journey.
